Here is the last tip of 2007: Be sure to make all of your cash and non-cash donations before December 31. The law changed beginning January 1, 2007, and you must have an itemized list of the items given away. Please go to our website, www.sscservices.com, and look for the button "SSC Forms" and download the "Non-Cash Deductions" sheet. This is a list based on the Salvation Army's valuation of goods that can be used for a receipt. Fill it out, attach your receipt from the organization, and you will be in great shape for your deductions.
We would like to wish you a happy, healthy new year, and remember that we are always looking for new clients if you know someone who is looking for a new preparer.
